Pre-installation shinanigins.. (Movabletype,redhat9,mysql question)

Hello! I am a newbie.. I am also to install the CMS Movable Type onto my brand new linux installation redhat9. I am paying the MT folks to install this for me, but they have requested information prior to getting started.. I have figured everything out except for this:

Movable Type info request:
* If you want us to install the MySQL version of Movable Type, you will need to have the DBD::mysql module on your server, and you will need to send us the MySQL database name, username, password, and hostname. (The hostname may not be applicable.)

I know that I have the DBD::mysql module installed.. thats good.. I know I have and have access to mysql.. but here's my troubles.. based on MT's info request, I am assuming I am supposed to create a new database, name it, and give it a username and password. How do I do this? It seems so simple!, yet my google hunting has failed me

I managed to send the command:

Quote:
mysql> create database cmsmt;
Query OK, 1 row affected (0.00 sec)
which apparently created a new database.. but now what?!
