Power Management in Redhat

I have set up a basic webserver, server works ftp works, dead easy. But the server goes to sleep and will not serve pages.
When the server is running I am not logged in as root, but as a normal user or I am not logged in at all.
I generally use the GUI to do everything if possible.
I have tried preferences, screen saver settings (I think) and selected advanced power management, but this does not have any affect.
The motherboard BIOS does not allow me to disable sleep/standby - there are only two settings available S1 and S3.
Any ideas?

well I don't really know what to do... but with RH I think you should configure both KDE and Gnome's screensaver to disable the sleep function....but other wise..I think you ought to find out how to do this in the console....it always works in the console....
