postfix with /etc/hosts, /etc/hostname file setting

HI,

I currently install webmin & usermin , but under usermin mail redirection it always use username@MACHINENAME.domainname.com

So i go to edit my hosts file and set as :

127.0.0.1 domainname.com localhost .....

[there was a MACHINENAME atttack infront before]

That way when i type hostanme -f i can get a full domain usable for email. But that cause my postfix mail servr to have unknow error and outlook client can't send or receive email.

Can anyone tell me what suppose to be the correct setting here?

Try editing /etc/postfix/main.cf and see what value you have for
mydomain. I think you will find that it is set to the former hostname of the machine (which you should set back to what it was).
