Postfix How to


Dear All,

I am the beginner for postfix mail server installation.
Kindly guide how to setup postfix mail server step by step.
I was tried to setup so many times but the postfix mail server didn't work.

Sorry, but we can't literally guide you through the whole thing, that is not a reasonable thing to expect. There are plenty of guides out there, so when you try one and come across a *specific* issue, please ask about it and we'll be happy to help.

Hi
You have not mention the distro of operating system for installation of postfix mail server .I could prefer you to follow the link if ur planning to install postfix on ubuntu distro of operating system.

If it is Red Hat 5 or CentOS 5. by defualt sendmail run.
Important Note; After installing postfix ,use the alternative command to switch from sendmail to postfix within the system.

Do google for how to configure postfix.
