I have recently installed Mandrake 8.2 on two PCs to use as webservers. I would like them to be email servers for their domain. Postfix is running on both PCs. I can send mail from the PC, but cannot connect to the PC remotely using outlook express, nor can I connect using Kmail on the server itself. I thought postfix "look like" a POP3. A friend connected to my PC and said SMTP is working, but it is not responding to POP3. I hope the answer is easy. I have be reading on the web for a week, but nothing seems to address my problem.

did you start pop3?

I thought Postfix was just a version of smtp - am I wrong? If I'm right, then it's for sending only. You need pop going.

Where do I get a good POP3 and some installation instructions for Mankdrake 8.2?
