Post GRUB4DOS ISO install urpmi - help!
After a successful (?) install from ISO image via GRUB4DOS, I find that my Linux Mandriva 2009 can't upgrade / install software because it can't find the ISO it loaded from (On a WinXP partition).
A cryptic: urpmi update message is all I receive. I am assuming some form of path / pointer input is needed. But I cannot decipher how or what to do in this instance. Your assistance is greatly appreciated. |
Welcome to LQ.
Please open the software manager, "Add & Remove Software" or do the command : su <type password> and then rpmdrake. Look for : Settings > > Media Manager : Configure Media. In the "Configure Media" window you can untick the lines with Cd-rom etc. ..... and confirm with "OK". Then you shouldn't be asked for ' Install media ' any more. ..... ..... The above configuration is also to be found in the file /etc/urpmi/urpmi.cfg ..... |
