Possible to install windows fonts ?

I am running mandriva linux 2006.I've noticed that the excel file generated by microsoft could not be displayed correctly with openoffice. The numbers are missing, is it caused by fonts ? how to install windows fonts in mandriva linux ?

Thanks !

There is a rpm with a few MS fonts (arial, times, verdana...) at http://rpm.borgnet.us/2006.0/RPMS/ms...bgn.noarch.rpm

I suppose it could be, but I'd imagine it's unlikely. Unless the original font used was really bizarre, openoffice should be able to fall back to system default fonts rather than refusing to display the data altogether.

No, what's more likely the cause is that the import from Excel format hasn't gone as smoothly as it could have. The cells where the numbers are missing, are they simple cells? Or are they calculated somehow? Where did the original Excel document come from, and do you have access to a copy of Excel to look at it natively (this doesn't really matter, but it may help discover why things aren't working)?
