Possible To Install 2 Distro?? Help plz!
i have a acer lap... and im using XP..
just before some days i ve installed MANDRIVA2008 on my lap...
and today i intalled slackware 12.2 ..
the thing is in the LILO i can see only two choices
either WINDOWS or SLACKWARE..
im not able to boot mandriva..
isnt that possible to install two linux distro in one pc...
plz help me..

You can install a LOT of distro on your computer. When you installed Slackware, did you installed it on an other partition, you might have overwriten your Mandriva. If installed properly, you will have to modify lilo.conf to see also Mandriva. Best way would have been to install with Grub wich usually sees other OS and does the config for you. Lilo is less user friendly.

need to edit the /etc/lilo.conf file to add mandrivia and then rerun lilo from command prompt or rerun liloconfig and use expert mode to add mandrivia, either way has to be done as root. Grub is not installed by default in slackware, can be installed from /slackware/extra
