Possible To Dual boot with windows or another linux distro with ONLY ubuntu installed

Disk /dev/sda: 500.1 GB, 500107862016 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 60801 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
Disk identifier: 0x11746132

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 * 1 59665 479259081 83 Linux
/dev/sda2 59666 60801 9124920 5 Extended
/dev/sda5 59666 60801 9124888+ 82 Linux swap / Solaris

Certain applications of mine cannot be run properly with wine. However, I have only installed ubuntu on my comp. Is it possible to install windows or another alternative linux distro (dual boot)?

Yes it is .
But if you decide to dual boot with windows you have to reinstall GRUB .
Because windows write in to MBR so GRUB is gone .
But reinstalling GRUB is not a problem .
If you are going to dual boot with a linux distro , the last installed GRUB is in use
Ease way install windows first and than linux .
Make two partitions on you're hard drive to dual boot

If you have a new enough system, try a virtual machine to run windows or the other way around.
