is each port associated with an IP address ?? . if yes then we can have 65535 ports then are they each assocated with an IP ADDRESS

An IP Address is associated with a machine (actually, with each NIC).
Each address can have up to 64k ports on it; see /etc/services

To make it even more complex, a physical NIC eg eth0 can have multiple virtual identities eg eth0:1, eth0:2 etc.
