Porting linux on ARM

Dear All,

I am new on porting linux on ARM.I want to write patches for linux kernel for my ARM processor.I want proper documentation for writing patches.I had got some patches from internet.
But i could understand the whole patch file for some ARM architecture.

So i will be very grateful,if any one could me the proper documentation for writing patches for ARM controllers.

try looking at the debian system's website AFAIK they allready have an ARM version

Also have a look in the Linux kernel,
e.g. linux-2.6.xx.x/arch/arm/...
