Port forwarding w/o changing router configuration
 

Hi all:
Is it possible? I did some googling, and most of the returned paged mention router-configuration, etc. I dont have access to the physical router, not even via the server. All i can touch/change are server and switch.

If it's possible, please read on.

My OS is Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3.0
It has its own ip address.
The server has been up and running, network services such as httpd, sshd, etc.

The task of Port forwarding:

All incoming requests for port 80 should be redirected internally to port 8888. This should allow users to run resin(an APP) as a non-root user, while still giving the appearance to the outside world that it¡¯s listening on port 80.

Any one has an idea on how to do it ?

Please point me to the right place, or give me some steps/details. All will be appreciated.
