Hi
Today I downloaded .po file from launchpad, I want to know everything about this type of file, but first I want to know what it is.:lolflag:
I think it's obvious that it is a translation of application, but how to translate that application using that .po file?
No, my feelings aren't hurt. I am asking you to ask a proper question. I don't understand your question
You have a .po file (I have no idea what one of these is, so I have to google for it .... .. . )
You want it translating into French? I thought (from my recent googling) that that was what launchpad was for. Perhaps you need to download a French file instead?
I have already downloaded French translation(with .so extencion), not actually downloaded, I requested to send me that file, it doesn't matter, I have French translation on my harddrive right now.
Now I ask this question, what can I do to have Pidgin in French instead of English.
Perhaps manually editing a file or script used by Pidgin..
I couldn't find solution to this by googling.
Thanks for your time.

This does not make any sense.
The rest of your post does not make any sense either
I think you would like your applications to speak to you in French. That's OK: Linux is good with very many languages, but I am fortunate, and just use English.
Perhaps you will find better advice on a French forum for linux? There must be French forums for linux. Please find them and ask your questions there. When you find the solution, please post it back here, so other French users can find this thread, and your links and the answer.
Otherwise, when you installed your linux distribution, you were probably asked where you lived (and what Timezone you are in), and what language you prefer. If you answered these questions correctly, your distro should have been set up properly for the French language, keyboard and character set. If this is not the case, then perhaps you should re-install, selecting the correct language and location choices.
Mandriva is, I believe a "French" Distro. You might have better luck with that.
