i have SMC EZ Connect SMC3056IM Internal PCI Data Fax Voice Modem


i want to use this modem in linux os
but didnt get the driver

i fedora ,ubuntu 8.10
i want to use this modem in these os

plz help me

Download the driver on another computer and transfer it to the ubuntu computer ? (usb ....)

ok I have done it and I havr this massege and the modem is not work :

sounds like a catch 22 situation, you cant get on the internet to get the drivers and you cant get the drivers before you get into internet.
why not download the drivers and store it on a disk or CD?

Also when you dial out to your ISP (PPP) you have to provide username and password.
then you get an IP address.
