plz help a little stupid newbie with a small question...

Hello, all.
Just installed Linux Red Hat.
The 1st problem I've faced with - being unable 2 switch keyboard layout from english 2 my native cyrillic with a sort of shortcut (alt+shift, 4 xample).
I've installed in with cyrillic interface.
Well, on "start" menu there are System Preferences, or smth like that. There's Keyboard, and when I'm goin there - I can choose the layout.
Though it's not really egronomic 2 do this each time I need 2 switch layout, it wouldn't bother me much, unless...

I can't remember how, but I've set system language 2b russian. And when I rebooted, I wasn't able 2 enter my username 2 login into 2 the system, cause it types in russian only!!!! Yes, there is a menu on the bottim of the screen, that gives me an option 2 choose the language I like, but it just DOES NOT swiches 2 english!!!!
I can't even copy-paste letters from anywhere, cause there's nothing on the screen, but a login box, and bottom menu, that says: shutdown, choose graphic interface, language and smth else, not relevant!
And the language menu just ignores me!

Please, help a poor stupid newbie lammer... I can't login into my beloved computer!!!

What can I do?

I don't know your distribution. However, try to fiddle around
with the "control center". Usually there is a section on
languages.
