Red face plz help


I downloaded mandriva 2008 from internet and I burn the same in a Cd. But now the Cd is not booting when I try to install. Do i need to get some bootable image ? Plz guide me to install this downloaded mandriva in my laptop.

Did you burn the ISO as an image? If you look at the contents of the CD, what do you see? If just the single ISO file, you've done it wrong and need to do it again, but burning as an image (the software you use should have an option for this).

In future, please use better thread titles, i.e. ones that describe the problem you're having. You are told about this when you post a thread.

Thumbs up Iso

You will need to re burn download as ISO as suggested. Nero Is Simplest also DVD Decrypter work and you can choose file type

Might be a shot in the dark here,

but have you set your BIOS up to firstly attempt to boot off the CD drive, then the hard drive?

Its possible that your CD is formatted correctly, just your PC isnt attemtping to boot from it
