Plug ins and Firefox

It seems that these days more and more sites are streaming video. How do I setup my firefox browser to streamvideo, from what I read, it used Mplayer (mplayerplug-in). I am runing Mandriva and KDE 3.4. Everytime I go to one of these sites, tells me to install the plug in manually....

I tried to install the plug in but keep getting the same error

please help.
