I just installed quantal (ubuntu) n i just wanted to know to use the ctrl alt del fn for linux

what do you really want? The three finger trick Ctrl-Alt-Del works very differently in various environments. In oldschool DOS, it made the system restart at once; in Windows, it brings up the task manager or a dialog offering various special functions, the task manager being one of them. In Linux, or more to the point, in popular Linux Desktops, Ctrl-Alt-Del has no special meaning.

So again: What are you really looking for?
