Please help:overwritten //newcerts directory

Hi to everyone reading my post,

I am new to linux so please offer me some advices.

I have accidentally overwritten the //newcerts folder in /home/globus/.globus/simpleCA//newcerts with the folder in /home/globus/newcerts.

As the signed host and user certificates will be saved in /home/globus/.globus/simpleCA//newcerts, I cannot access to that directory now as it has been overwritten. Whenever i try to access that directory to get the signed certificates, an error message of "cant display location" will appear.. Now my biggest worry is how to retrieve the signed certs as i cannot access to that directory now..

Please offer me some solutions..

thanks

As far as I know (limited knowledge) there is no solution but forensic
Very little chance to recover your files

Somebody else might differ though.

Any backup?
Please state which file system you use. Ext3?
