Please help me configure and install grub on USB MBR

I installed opensuse 12.1 64-bit on USB Flash drive, and after the instalation, grub was installed on HDD MBR, it worked! I tried to configure grub from yast, I checked "Boot from Root Partition" and I unchecked "Boot from Master Boot Record", so I can boot form USB on any computer, but nothing happened.
Can you please tell me how to configure grub?
