When you tried to boot Ubuntu, you got a Windows error message. Am I right? If so, this means that Ubuntu didn't boot at all. Did you install Ubuntu and then get this Windows error message? Or were you trying to boot into the Ubuntu cd in order to install it? Sorry about all the questions....I'm just trying to learn more about your problem so that I can help you better.

You might want to try burning your ubuntu cd/dvd with a different ISO image this time in case the ISO was corrupted.

Just saw your email! Get cracking on those studies, we'll see you some time tomorrow!

If you want to run Ubuntu, you need to carefully follow this guide step by step: http://www.ubuntu.com/download/help/...g-term-support

From Step 1:

Quote:
Put the Ubuntu CD into the CD/DVD-drive.

Restart your computer. You should see a welcome screen prompting you to choose your language and giving you the option to install Ubuntu or try it from the CD.

If you don't get this menu, read the booting from the CD guide for more information.
Here is the "booting from the CD guide" to help troubleshoot the problem: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BootFromCD

Hi soukaina

It might be a good idea to start a new Thread about what you want.
Also explain what you want todo , what you have done
