It looks like the Fluxbox Desktop which could be running on any Distro.I have it (with a different theme) on Slackware.

Apparently Fluxbox, yeah ... I've used it with different themes on Gentoo and Ubuntu ... you can't tell what the distribution is.
I looked around the site, and they weren't the original poster, and in theirs and the other's no one said what the distribution is.

im just getting in to linux and i like what im finding the hacking part is no interest to me, i just like the idea of open source and what linux stands for, to be honest i realy liked the look of it thats all, im using ubuntu 9.4 and realy enjoying it its very user friendly but still loads to learn, ive also got a knoppox live cd wich ive been using, just trying to find my feet.

you should go multidistro dude
you got a usb?

if you go multidistro you can check out distro's you ain't seen before
and most are frugal
so they all live together on usb.

You can install fluxbox on ubuntu from its repositories. There is also a site that has themes for flux (open-box.org or something).
Running flux on Ubuntu is not as lightweight as it could be, though (although you can make it more or less by installing a CLI ubuntu system from the alternate ubuntu installer and then adding just flux). But well, if it is just the looks you like, then having access to gnome tools from your fluxbox desktop is something you might actually prefer.

I found getting 'the look' right quite difficult starting out as well and I didn't find fluxbox too friendly. That said, it's not all that hard, especially with the themes you can download. I've had a close look at the video and the distro is actually gentoo (kernel version is 2.4.20-gentoo-linux) which you can see in the top right of the HQ version. So there you go, its Gentoo.

ive just downloaded i live cd of openSUSE and on the login screen its asking for a linux password and login name, ? how do i get these? on the login page of back track for example it tell you what to type;IE login (root) password (toor) but in openSUSE you have none of those things, so im quite stumped? dont quite no what to do?
