Smile playing media on rhel4

i m having rhel 4 on my pc i want to play media files (mp3,mp4) video files can anyone help me out how can i start it from scratch

you have to install vlc/mplayer/xine/xmms/amarok with codecs ( patents problems). hence, rhel does not have all these.

It is best for you to install the latest release of Fedora (very similar to RHEL)

I would recommend you to install ubuntu. If you have trouble downloading ubuntu _will_ send CDs for free. No postage. 100% free.
