Get Windows, or a file without DRM.

All you can do is open it in windows and try to remove the DRM so you it will play on Linux too.

hmm

that is a tricky one.
your best bet is to setup a winxp VM ,then you can get software to do it for you.
if you setup samba you can copy back and forth easily from the VM to you system.
other than that there isn't to many linux programs that will do the removal.
good luck

DRM encrypted

"Get Windows, or a file without DRM."
Now that's a useful reply to a fellow seeking some straight forward good hearted replies., some really helpful advice, obviously given in the same good spirit as the fellow asking for the advice.
May as well just told him to go and buy a new machine with Windows 7 installed just so he could play that one WMA file.
Geez,.......some people,..............

He's a newbie, he doesn't need that sort of smart assed sarcastic replies, he's here for help not some lame advice merely posted to have a little joke at his expense.

remove++.
you either want to buy a CD/DVD of what you want, or remove this stuff.
or no, you remove anyways, but then you either buy a legal, normal copy, or you fetch it somewhere)
there are many things worth payment but those are distributed in that way meant for one thing: deletion.

Yes, it is a useful reply. You can't remove DRM on that file under Linux, only under Windows. So either he's got to get a file without a DRM lock on it, or remove the DRM under Windows.

Grow up, read the questions the OP posts, and what's really being asked, before you complain about the answers. You certainly didn't add anything to the thread...and you re-opened a thread that's been closed over a YEAR, just to spout off about how un-helpful you think someone is.

Interesting, thanks, it seems to work on Linux too. Either way, it's better to boycott it. But, say if you absolutely have to have it ...
