Play DVD's with Xandros (how do install a DVD player)

I just installed Xandros. It was surprisingly easy. I was hoping to play DVD's with it. How do I install a DVD player? I am VERY new to Linux, so any help would be appreciated.

I understand I need to run this from the console from the root

/usr/share/doc/libdvdread3/examples/install-css.sh

Do I need to be connected to the Internet for this? Can it be via dial-up?

You'll need to download a DVD player that has all the codecs necessary for decoding encrypted DVDs for playback. Best choices are Xine or Mplayer. For Mplayer, look for the Windoze codecs. For Xine (which I think is superior) you will need to search the web for the files. Dial-up is fine. The apps and codecs aren't big.

I use Xine on SuSE 9.1 on both my desktop and laptop machines. It works like a charm. Make sure you have DMA enabled for your DVD reader though...
