Pink boot up screen

Bit of a silly problem, but when I boot SUSE linux 9.2 the boot up screen picture is pink and fuzzy, KDE etc have perfect resolution no problems. I was just wondered if there is something I can do about the boot up screen that should be blue?

That sounds like a monitor going bad. Does it stay that way indefinetly, or does it clear up after a few hours of running?
good luck.
