phpmyadmin cannot load mysql extension mandrake 10.1

I have just freshly installed Mandrake 10.1 which automatically installed apache 2.0 and php 4 as well as mysql.

I have uploaded PHPMyAdmin and when I try to run it, it says:

"cannot load mysql extension,
please check PHP Configuration"

I would give you links to see this as well as my phpinfo, but I am not allowed to post links in my posts yet because I am new.

Please let me know where or what I can do to double check and fix this.

well, guess no one knew what I was talking about.

I re-formatted and re-installed Mandrake 10.1 and double checked the options to be installed. I made sure MySQL and PHP were fully ticked for install. This worked.

Guess I was missing some portion of the php-mysql and when I tried to install it manually, I got errors...hence the full install.

Hope this may help someone someday.
