phpldapadmin - GID dropdown blank
 

Hello all. I just completed my phpldapadmin installation in Ubuntu 12.0.4 and was able to login to phpldapadmin. I am attempting to create a user, but cannot do so. I can enter the Common name and First name, but when select the GID dropdown box the list or box is empty. Any assistance with resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

What is the group you entered in your database (.ldif file). The default group name is example and when you open gid dropdown, it shows example in dropdown.
Check the value of cn under Groups, it should be dropdown, if no values are there, add a value under Groups and it will be visible in the gid dropdown.

I deleted the old server and installed Ubuntu 14 from scratch. Used a tutorial and followed the directions carefully and everything appears to work now. Thanks for your help.
