PHP extensions and Yum

I'm running CentOS.

I install / update with Yum.

With respect to PHP, in general is there a way to see what extensions are available? For example I might know I want mcrypt, but how would I know the extension package is named "php_mcrypt"? Perhaps for some (most?) the name is obvious or could be guessed at, but is there a list or a way to query for a list?

I was interested in playing around with XML, but I only seem to have the SimpleXML extension. As well, there is an imap extension for manipulating email that sounds interesting.

I usually do something like

yum list *php*

You can just do a yum list and redirect to to a file and use grep on it. There's also a yum search which IIRC also searches package descriptions.
