I configured php with my sql option. But when i go to my phpinfo page there is no mention of mysql. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

Did you restart apache?

Are you using the module you just compiled or is it perhaps an old one that apache is using?

do you have mod_php with apache. i found that is best to recompile everything in this order (even if you had some stuff installed before):
MySQL
PHP
Apache & Mod_php (<-- important)
Then restart all services (as in mysql and apache, php does not now what restart is ) and you SHOULD be good. Oh, do not forget mysql options when compiling php.
