PGSQL connection failed


Hi,Im using exim and Post gres as the database. Post Gres keeps on failing on me. How can i stabilize it to ensure optimum uptime.

Which distro, which version of PostgreSQL, how are you using it?
Describe the failure?

PGSQL connection failed

The distro is Fedora Core 2 the version of PGSQL is postgresql-7.4.7-3.FC2.1. As I told you I use it with exim MTA as the database for all the usernames and passwords and spam scores. After you restart the service,it goes up,but for some few days. Thinking of putting a cronjob, but temporarily.

No, you didn't. You said you're using both exim and
postgres, and didn't mention anything about whether
or how those interact.

And you still haven't mentioned in which way
"postgres fails". That said, the version in use is
ancient, and the current fix-level for the 7.4-branch
is 18. Not knowing Fudoras numbering scheme
for sure I'd guess you're 11 patches behind.
