personal Dir on linux (not normal ones)

does someone know the way to make user dirs in the format:

vvww.franz.url.co.uk

rather than the format wvvw.url.co.uk/~franz/ which is the only method ive been able to get working on apache.

thanks alot, and VERY sorry if this has already been answered, as when i searched the forums, it didnt come up . Ignore the silly double v in the www part, it wouldnt let me post it any other way (dont have 5 posts, and didnt want to spam the forum)

Set it up as a virtual server.

mind giving me a quick tutorial, or is it as simple as adding a virtual server with the address wvvw.franz.url.com? and apache will handle all the rest ?

ok, ive tried for ages to get this working, ive even tried to install webcp (best free linux web control panel out there apparently) but that got to the last step and it needed some awkward dependency >.<

could someone show me an example conf file for the following user dirs

www.roast.forthewin.co.uk

DocRoot /www/roast

www.sens.forthewin.co.uk

DocRoot /www/sens

.. please ive tried loads of other things, but it hasnt worked for me, im TOTALLY new to linux, i used it mainly to host some game servers and 4-5 IRC bouncers, and would like to be able to do this ...
