Persistent shutdown issues
Hi,
My system is unable to cut off power after shutdown.I have to perform it manually.Nor can I initiate standby mode. Please advise.I use fedora core 1 and my default window manager is KDE. |
Could you give us some info about your system? - desktop or laptop and what hardware you have. Also, did you update the kernel before this happened? what did you do before this happened?
|
my system is an Intel P4 2.2 ghz,845 gl chipset based motherboard, and 512 mb ram with Soundblaster Audigy2 platinum soundcard and radeon 9800 pro garphics card.
I haven't updated my system yet.It's a fresh install. |
I have a same thing in Slackware. I fix it by removing # in /etc/rc.d/rc.modules in modprobe_apm line.
Try to find modprobe_apm line in rc.modules and remove # if itin't removed already. After restart it will be okay. |
