permission not given

Okay so i finaly got my hard drive to mount but when i try to open it in my user id it says i cant open so i wnent in root and changed the permisons but it says
"cant change permissions to track15.mp3" wut should i do i can access it in root but i wanna be able to access it in my user name.

And also i just installed suse 10.0 adn all my text is really small. i know that i can change it in firefox but wut about the computer in general?

It would help to get more detail, e.g. the file-system on the drive
you finally managed to mount.

It would also help if you used punctuation less sparsely, and used
the spell-checker before posting ...
