Permission denied (publickey,gssapi-keyex,gssapi-with-mic,password)

Hello. I am running Scientific Linux version 6.1 with OpenLDAP. The Server is up and running and I can't login at the workstation prompt or via an ssh on any clients.

When I try to ssh to the client workstations and login as a LDAP user I get the following message:

Permission denied (publickey,gssapi-keyex,gssapi-with-mic,password)

I can do an su and become an ldap user on the client workstation that exists only on the LDAP server and can change the password of the ldap users from the client once I su to that user (I see the LDAP Server Password Prompt when I type in passwd as the user and sucessfully use the current user password before being allowed to change to a new password on the server). Has anyone experienced this problem before?

Thank you, Carl

1. Do you have any User/group access restriction in /etc/security/access.conf?
2. Have you properly configured pam file to allow LDAP Access?
