Hello and Welcome to LinuxQuestions,

What do you mean when you say you use Red Hat through VMWare? Are you running VMWare Server, ESXi, Workstation? Locally or on a remote dedicated server?

Looking forward to your participation in the forums. Have fun with Linux.

Kind regards,

Eric

Hi,

Did you check in the settings for your machine that the USB Controller is present? If it is, did you check that the option 'Automatically connect new USB devices is 'checked'?

Kind regards,

Eric

Hi,
yes usb controller is present in the machine and it is working fine.Because whenever i am trying to connect pendrive, there a option arrives that disconnect from host. And it is disconnected from the host machine and is connected to the VM machine.

Thanks
Debaditya
