Pendrive-DSL Does Not See Hard Disk

Hi,

Running DSL from a usb pendrive, on a Asus EEE PC.

DSL does not see my hard disk (originally formatted by Windows). Not sure if its NTFS or FAT- came pre-installed by Asus.

Help.

thanks!

Hi,

You may have to mount it first...

DSL, okay, open the file browser (eifm if I'm not mistaken) as "super user, and go to the /mnt folder, look for hda1, click on it and hit the "mount" button in the middle...

Luck

Just to highlight this.
I think Thor 2.0 put the right word in there.

DSL should still use the older hdx way of mounting drives as opposed to the current scsi access.

Thanks all, but no matter now. I installed Puppeee Linux to a pen drive with the awesome inetbootin. On first boot, automatically recognized my drives, cam, mic, video, sound card, wifi, etc etc.

Good for you...if you were looking for a lite-weight, Puppy (and the derived MacPup) it by far the best choice..DSL is good, but a but "spartan" to my taste and caters to a quite different set of needs.

Have fun with Linux!

Hmm, yes, Puppy thends to do that, just feed it...by using it.

Glad you're happy with it.

By the way, dont throw out the DSL disk just yet...DSL is meant as a recovery tool, in case it's needed. Just the kinda disk you want around...
