Pen load halt ?
 
Hi,

I have loaded Fedora on a pen.

Startup begins ok, then...

Decomposing Linux... Done
Booting Kernel

(long pause)

Warning cannot find root file system!

Create symlink /dev/root and then exit this shell to continue boot sequence.

Bash -3.2#

So I need to create a symblic link right?

Can anyone please tell me my next move?

You probably got the root parameter wrong in your boot loader.
Which boot loader are you using?

Thanks for your interest. As far as i understand it is the latest grub.

Then check the root parameter in your /boot/grub/menu.lst file

Grub is the boot loader on your hard drive.
On the pen drive, which boot loader is installed?
If that is grub, you need to look at your menu.lst file that is on the pen drive.

I'veloaded Fedora on to another stick and the prob hasn't arised, so thanks for your help.
