Peer To Peer

I was a big user of peer to peer using windows. The question that I have for you is what do you consider the most effecient p2p application? I have tried MLDonkey with Sancho's GUI front end but I am wanting something alot faster if any of you are p2p ethusiasts please help me out thanks as always.

Also after I have decompressed it I read the readme and it told to to commence a "./configure" which then I get the error " No such file or directory". I can the see the configure file in the directory. Is there something that I am missing?
