PCtel Driver for Winmodem

I have a SiS chipset and my modem runs on windows with the HSP56 MR driver but the pctel driver on linux don't work at all. I get error messages at almost every stage of the installation. If anyone has any ideas on how to install my modem please tell me lol. It's really annoying me now, i'm stuck in winblows until I get *nix online.

I too have an SiS modem, and I found that the instructions on this page worked, after a bit of modification. It's NOT the original installation script, but one I modified to work with gcc3.x, and gave to the bloke who runs this site. Also, I found that it only worked with kppp, as root to start with, but there's plenty on the net about that.

Let me know if it works, or doesn't
