PCLinuxOS Activate Syslog

I was thinking of installing PCLinuxOS preview 8 on my machine to try out. I checked website under installation and all looks common to me except it says "The liveCD has logging turned off by default. You may turn it on for the hard drive install..........", etc. How do I turn on syslog? I've installed a few dozen OSes but have never seen this. Could anyone help?
Thanks! This distro looks great on liveCD and has all the various plugins working. Real nice!

Is it as simple as uncommenting a line in the /etc/syslog.conf file? Or is there more to it? Thank you.
