pci library?

i am installing nvtv-0.4.7 and it requires "pci library":

checking for pci_init in -lpci... no
checking for pci_init in -lpciutils... no
configure: error: pci library required

i already installed pciutils-2.1.11, which was the only pci library package i found on google. that was not the required package, since the error remains. what is the correct package i need?

log ina or in some way become root with sbin priviledges. For you that would probably be with "su -" and type lspci.

If you that command is not found do a google search to see what package gives that command.
