pci=noirq?
on my laptop i get atleast 20 of theses errors during boot time and suggests using pci=noirq
i set this in lilo.conf as a kernel parameter but it makes no difference, is there a reason for this do you think? what causes this problem? thanks |
1st off, after editing the lilo.conf file you have to run /sbin/lilo to update the changes.
2nd, what errors are you talking about? you did not specify. |
What kernel are you running? I don't see the option pci=noirq anywhere. If you unpack the kernel souce in the Documentation directory there should be a file called kernel-parameters.txt
In there it will tell you what parameters you can pass to the kernel and what it will do. |
sorrywas pci=biosirq
sorry |
after i added that to lilo.conf my errors changed slightly, here is the output from dmesg?

i've seen that before a bunch, but i can't remember the fix. search this site and google for different parts of that error message. it's a usb problem if you didn't notice.
i think it's telling you to add that pci=biosirq setting to your boot loader. |
