You can reset the root password by rebooting into run level 1

1. Restart your server.
2. When the GRUB prompt appears press 'e' on the selected Red Hat installation.
3. Select the linux image you would like to boot and type 'e' (don't select initrd image)
4. Type rhgb quuite 1

It will boot your server in single user mode with root prompt.

You can reset password here using passwd command.
