password - LINUX SUSE 10

hey guys. i finally finished installing linux suse 10.0 and so excited to use it.. but for some reason it asking me login and password to get in... i haven't even apply the account so how can i type in my username and password...?

The installer should have propmpted you to create a normal user, or at the very least a root (super) user.

If you only have root login with that and create a user.

man useradd from a terminal

Just to be a little more clear.

Username: root

The password will be one of several things... most likely it asked you to create a password during install. In that case, that would be your password. If it did not, try just hitting enter. I have also seen installers which use "root" as the password -- which I believe is a pretty bad solution, and the empty password case is also bad unless network setup was not part of the install (which is unusual these days).

Most prompt you for a password during install. This is the "right thing" to do and hopefully you remember it happening and what you put there.
