passwd -e <userid> pasword expire every day?

Good day,

Shouldn't that be a one time thing. Like you setup a user account give him temp. password then do
passwd -e <hisid>
Than he should be forced to change password upon next login.

I did it but now user can't log in every"next day".
Like he would use it today, tomorrow I would get a call abiut him unable to login.

Try it in combination with -x (max number of days a password is valid).

As in: passwd -e -x 3 <hisid>
