partitions in linux


i am using fedora5,my system has only two patitions one for windows ,and other for fedora 5,now i want to do linux from scratch,is it possible to make another partition without deleting fedora 5,so tht i can do linux from scratch,wht can i do can any one suggest me

Well, what do you mean by "Linux from scratch"? You are trying to install? You can make a partition out of the existing Linux partition without losing Fedora Core 5.
Suggestion: Fedora Core 5 is ancient, put Fedora 8!

If there's no free (i.e. unpartitioned) space on your disk, you'll need to resize one or both of your partitions to make room for LFS. Tools like GNU Parted or GParted will allow you to do this (the latter has a live CD you can use).
