Partitions; how many and what size?

I'm getting closer to installing Linux Suse 9.3 as a stand alone system. I was wanting to install the program so I can boot from the hard drive and also, I was liking the KDE system. So, I have to ask HOW many partitions should I let YaST create for a good running OS?? Also, what partition sizes are best, even though YaST recommends size?? Thanks.

You can create a partition like that % of your HD memory
/ the rest
/home 6 GB more or less( if you download lots of music/movies,..., many users accounts)
swap partition twice your ram or at least your ram size
/boot 10 MB
