Slackware : It is a good idea, to set up your partitions
with e.g. the Gparted live-cd before the Slackware install.

The boot command for sata is : sata.i
( Valid for slack 10.1 + 10.2 ).

Just checked # 'fdisk -l' ... and 'cat /etc/fstab'
with a Slackware 10.2 installed on SATA :
It's all sda1 sda2 sdb1 sdb2 etc. etc. .. sdx.
EDIT : same result for Slackware 10.1 .
.....
EDIT EDIT : The boot command for scsi is : scsi.s
.....

Hi,

My understanding of the information was that the OP needs scsi support. It would be nice if the op would provide us with the output of 'lspci -vv' to see in fact if the need is indeed a scsi image.

Since the OP requested a link for Slackware 13.0 then I really believe we may not here anymore on this issue.

finally i got the much awaited slackware 13 ..but no hope it wont detect my screen....

I suggest you post a separate thread for this, since it's a separate problem.

thanks for the replies .. i finally got my hands on slack 13 ... after the install it came up with screen not found or something like that..
