partitioning problem


i have windows xp n rh 9 on my pc.i want to allocate a portion of my free hard disk to windows ..how do i do that ..is there any way i can make partitions or allocate a portion of my hard disk(free space) to any of the os......n how does one use fdisk

How to use fdisk:
man fdisk

Then you will need to create a filesystem:
man mkfs

ONCE YOU PARTITION AND FORMAT IN LINUX YOUR STUCK WITH THEM, BUT IN WINDOWS SEARCH GOOGLE FOR 'DISK PARTITIONING' (I'VE USED FIPS)
